Dr. Debasis Gountia received the M. Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He received the B. Tech. degree in CSE from the UCE Burla, India. He received the Ph. D. award in CSE from the IIT Roorkee, India after being recommended and highly praised by Ritsumeikan University Japan and North Texas University USA. He has over 21 years of teaching and research experiences in various organizations. He has authored 26 international referred journals including one IEEE/ACM Transaction and two ACM Transactions, 24 international conference proceedings, 3 books, 6 book chapters for CRC Press, 1 book and 2 book chapters for Springer Nature International Publishing, 1 book chapter for Wiley International Publishing, IEEE/ACM Transaction, and four filed patents in the aforementioned areas. He has been carrying out many international projects including two AI for Earth Azure Compute Grant of the Microsoft Pvt. Ltd., USA as Team Leader, and one SERB, Govt. of India as Principal Investigator. Section Editor for “Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence", International Journal on Computer and Telecommunication Engineering. He has been a reviewer of various journals, Transactions, along with conferences. He has organized/attended more than 110 conferences/seminars/workshops/Talks, and many more. He has achieved many awards/recognitions/ achievements such as Global Faculty Award of the Year 2023, Bharat Education Excellence Award of the Year 2022,  Emerging Scientist Award, Innovative Global Scientific Research Educationalist-Professionals Awards & Honors, Emerging Academician of the Year 2022, Best Faculty Award, Best Researcher Award, Outstanding Teacher Award, Perficio Award-2020, Appreciation  Certificate for having “Maximum Number of Sponsored Projects undertaken during the Academic Session 2022-23” by Odisha University of Technology and Research Bhubaneswar, etc. He is a professional member of ACM, IEEE, SMIE, FSIESRP, and IFERP.
