About
Mr.
Santosh Kumar works as a Assistant Professor at the School of Infrastructure
and Planning, and is presently also the Associate Head of Planning section of
the School of Infrastructure and Planning. He has experience of over 10 years
in teaching and industry.
Mr.
Santosh Kumar completed his undergraduate degree ‘Bachelor in Architecture’
from National Institute of Technology Patna, Bihar during 2003-08. Also, he had
his postgraduate degree ‘Master of Urban and Regional Planning’ from National
Institute of Technology Patna, along with certificate of excellence during
2012-14. After graduating, he worked as visiting and contractual faculty in
Architecture discipline for about four years in Dignity College of
Architecture, Anjora, Durg and other state level polytechnic colleges of
Chhattisgarh. In addition, after finishing postgraduate degree, Mr. Santosh has
also worked as faculty in several prestigious institute like Institute of Technology and Management,
Gwalior; Birla Institute of Technology, Patna and Maulana Azad National
Institute of Technology, Bhopal during 2014-16.
Mr.
Santosh Kumar has qualified GATE examination in 2012 and 2014 with All India Rank- 196 and 77
respectively. He has enrolled his Ph.D. in 2021-22 and currently pursuing the same from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in the Department of Planning
and Architecture. Also, he has supervised more than 90 B.Plan theses and more
than 40 M.Plan theses for the students of School of Infrastructure and Planning
enrolled in Planning programmes. Mr. Santosh is Associate Member of Institute
of Town Planners, India as well as registered Architect from Council of
Architecture.
His
domain of research are urban and regional planning, urbanization,
environmental sustainability; waste management; remote sensing and GIS etc. He has several publications with peer reviewed national / International journal and conference presentation.
He has also been a member of Examination Section of the University between
February-2019 to July-2024.
